The deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and countless others are just the continuation of centuries of systemic racism and oppression, and many of us have averted our eyes from these injustices for far too long. We are aware that right now is a critical moment in this nation’s long and troubled history where the actions of all of us can make a difference.

Things must change. We have a long way to go as a country and as individuals. We need to listen, we need to learn, and then we must act.

All lives cannot matter until black lives matter.
